The Packer Tracker - View #1

The four-foot wide Packer/Tracker package is a very affordable grooming solution. The compactor/drawbar unit is a lightweight and easily handled unit with a flexible urethane comb just like our Trail Tenderizer. The compaction bed adjusts to three different angle positions to accommodate different snow conditions and hitch heights. The Packer/Tracker package comes with our standard Tracksetter, including the lift lever.

A leading edge urethane flap protects the unit from impact and pulls in deep powder. Just like our Trail Tenderizer, the P/T has a durable bright red powder coat finish and is protected with a shear pin hitch (two hitch types furnished).

The Packer/Tracker differs from the Trail Tenderizer in that it does not have teeth to renovate hardpack or icy conditions. But if you are considering grooming your own backyard trail but are just not sure that you can justify the investment in a Trail Tenderizer, consider the following:

The Packer/Tracker will allow you to turn fresh snow into a perfect classical and/or skating trail. If you later decide that you want the capability to renovate hardpack conditions with a Trail Tenderizer, you can upgrade. The Packer/Tracker comes with our standard Tracksetter, so you already have that. Many of the parts on the P/T compactor/drawbar are common to a Trail Tenderizer making it possible for you to purchase an upgrade package at a discount (currently $250) off the regular Trail Tenderizer price. So do the numbers – if you purchase the P/T and later decide to upgrade, at current prices you have spent less than $200 extra for the privilege of starting simple and working up. Try that with a computer.
